The Watch

This 39mm 'time only' Carrera Calibre 5 is a refined automatic wristwatch combining the clean, motorsport-inspired styling of the Carrera collection with a versatile 39mm stainless-steel case. The watch features an elegant silvered dial with applied polished hour markers, luminous hands, central seconds, and a practical date display positioned at 3 o'clock. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, while a sapphire exhibition caseback allows the automatic movement to be viewed. The watch is completed by a TAG Heuer dark brown crocodile leather strap with deployant clasp - and is ideal for both daily and formal wear.

The Watchmaker

TAG Heuer has a long association with motorsport. The Carrera chronograph was originally introduced in 1963 under Jack Heuer and took its name from the Carrera Panamericana road race. Its clean, highly legible design became an important part of the brand's identity, and the collection was successfully revived in the 1990s. The WAR211B continues the design language in a simplified, non-chronograph format - and is successful in doing so.

Authenticity, Condition, and Guarantees

All items have been inspected for authenticity, and are guaranteed as such. As this is a pre-owned watch, signs of wear consistent with age and previous use should be expected. Buyers of watches should also recognise that maintenance and treatment appropriate to the watch in question are required to protect time-keeping and condition. There is a 6 month function guarantee for watches costing £1000 or more. Water resistance is not guaranteed; even watches originally waterproof may not be so, unless recently sealed and pressure-tested.
