The Watch

The Submariner 16610LV “Kermit” sports a 40 mm stainless-steel Oyster case with a screw-down Triplock crown, sapphire crystal and is water-resistant to 300 metres. Its most distinctive feature is the unidirectional aluminium bezel with a vibrant green “Lunette Verte” insert, paired with a glossy black “Maxi” dial featuring enlarged luminous hour markers and broader hands, engineered for superior legibility in low light. Inside beats the robust in-house automatic calibre 3135 — a movement long regarded as one of Rolex’s most reliable and enduring. The watch completes with a stainless-steel Oyster bracelet and solid end-links.

The Watchmaker

Rolex, founded by Hans Wilsdorf in 1905, revolutionised wristwatch design with the waterproof Oyster case and self-winding Datejust in 1945. Introduced in 2003 to mark the 50th anniversary of the original Rolex Submariner line, the 16610LV “Kermit” was the first Submariner to wear a green bezel — a bold departure from tradition that instantly made it iconic. It remains the only green-bezel, maxi dial Submariner made by Rolex with the aluminium-insert bezel - giving it great neo-vintage appeal.

Authenticity, Condition, and Guarantees

All items have been inspected for authenticity, and are guaranteed as such. As this is a pre-owned watch, signs of wear consistent with age and previous use should be expected. There is a 6 month function guarantee for watches costing £1000 or more. Water resistance is not guaranteed; even watches originally waterproof may not be so, unless recently sealed and pressure-tested.
