The Technos 'Last of the Line' Mosaba is a rare tuning-fork wristwatch, powered by the Swiss ESA Mosaba calibre—an innovative electronic movement licensed from Bulova that uses a vibrating tuning fork instead of a traditional balance wheel. The stainless steel and gold-plated case is complemented by an elegant champagne colour dial with Roman numerals, gold hands, a sweeping red seconds hand, and a date window at three o’clock. Only a limited number of these watches were produced, reportedly 10,000 examples - widely regarded as the last commercially produced tuning-fork watch ending c.1990.

The name “Mosaba” derives from Montres Sans Balancier, meaning “watches without a balance wheel.” It was the designation used by ESA (Ebauches SA) for its tuning-fork range created in the late 1960s and 1970s under licence from Bulova, which bridged the gap between mechanical watches and the advent of mass produced quartz movements. The Technos “Mosaba” represents the final expression of this horological innovation. Celebrated as the “last of the Mosabas,” it holds a special place in electronic watchmaking.
