The Watch

This Day-Date is one of the most prestigious configurations within the Day-Date collection, combining a substantial 40mm case with the exclusivity of solid 950 platinum. This example features Rolex’s highly distinctive glacier blue dial, a colour reserved for the brand’s platinum watches, complemented by elegant factory-set diamond hour markers.

The watch is fitted with Rolex’s iconic President bracelet, also made from platinum. Featuring distinctive semi-circular links, the bracelet has been closely associated with the Day-Date collection since its introduction.

Powering the reference 228206 is Rolex’s excellent self-winding calibre 3255 mechanical movement, offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve. The movement provides instantaneous day and date displays with rapid setting, while the Oyster case and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal help provide excellent durability and protection. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.

Water resistance is not guaranteed; even watches originally waterproof may not be so, unless recently sealed and pressure-tested.
