The Watch

The Rolex Submariner Date, reference 116610LN, was introduced in 2010. This generation of the Submariner combines the model’s iconic diving-watch heritage with a more substantial case design - alongside a ceramic bezel insert and modern tool-less micro-adjustment in the clasp.

Powering the watch is Rolex’s automatic Calibre 3135 movement, a well-established self-winding mechanical movement renowned for its reliability and precision. The movement provides approximately 48 hours of power reserve and incorporates Rolex’s Parachrom hairspring for improved resistance to shocks and temperature variations. The screw-down Triplock crown and Oyster case provide water resistance to 300 metres.

Buyers of watches should also recognise that maintenance and treatment appropriate to the watch in question are required to protect time-keeping and condition. There is a 6 month function guarantee for watches costing £1000 or more. Water resistance is not guaranteed; even watches originally waterproof may not be so, unless recently sealed and pressure-tested.
